4 Keys Every Business Owner Needs to S.T.A.Y. In Business

I started my very first business in 1998.  While entrepreneurship was NEVER on my radar, I have enjoyed the freedom it has brought to my life and the benefits to my family.  I simply want this for others.

After seeing my clients make the same mistakes over and over again, I decided I wanted to create a manual of sorts.  I wanted it to publish something that would help aspiring entrepreneurs start and most importantly S.T.A.Y. in business.

Here are four keys every business owner needs to S.T.A.Y. in business:

S – Setup – it is very important that your business is set up properly.  Clients often ask, “should I be a sole proprietorship or should they form an LLC or INC?”

In my book, Business Blueprint 2.0, I break down the differences between each type. I also share the pros and cons of each, and the types of business who are best suited for each.

It is important that you select the entity type that fits your tax and legal needs.  Make sure you consult with a tax accountant and an attorney before finalizing your choice.

T – Team – even if your business is a sole proprietorship, you must to have a team.  Selecting the right team is important to the success of your business.

In my book, I share the key people you need on your team, like an accountant, an attorney, etc. and I share tips on how to select the right one for you.

A – Accounting system – so many business owners leave this for last, or do not consider it at all. But setting up your accounting system is crucial to the success of your business. In addition to knowing your business, you have to know your numbers.  Accounting systems help you keep track of your income and expenses, and so much more.

In my book, I make recommendations on how to set these systems up and I also work with my clients on setting up their accounting system.

Y – YOU – don’t try to be a copy of someone else.  Be yourself.  Be authentic.  Your clients will love and appreciate about you.  And it will help you connect with your ideal client.
